Licensed to practice law in Texas, Mr. Smith focuses his work on representing clients who have been injured due to the negligence of others, with an emphasis on pre-litigation and litigation strategies designed to secure favorable results.
Mr. Smith earned his Juris Doctor from WMU Cooley Law School in Tampa, Florida, where he was recognized on the Dean’s List and honored for academic excellence in property law. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Hawaii Pacific University.
Before joining RTRLAW, Mr. Smith gained extensive legal experience working for national firms like Thomas J. Henry Law and Morgan & Morgan, where he handled complex personal injury claims, conducted client intake interviews, negotiated settlements, and managed litigation from inception to trial readiness. He has also worked in bankruptcy law and consumer litigation, giving him a well-rounded foundation in civil practice and client advocacy.
A U.S. Army veteran who served as a Forward Observer during Operation Iraqi Freedom, Mr. Smith brings leadership, resilience, and precision to every case he handles. His background managing legal and financial responsibilities, combined with a deep commitment to justice, makes him a passionate advocate for injured Texans.
When he’s not fighting for his clients, Mr. Smith enjoys spending time with his family, engaging in community outreach, and exploring Texas culture.
