Matthew C. Lewis is an Associate Attorney at RTRLAW, serving in the Texas Personal Injury and Estate Planning Division. Raised in Texarkana, Texas, Matthew brings a comprehensive legal background with a strong focus on personal injury and estate planning, making him a valuable asset to RTRLAW’s Texas team.
Before joining RTRLAW, Matthew was the Managing Attorney at the Law Office of Matthew C. Lewis, where he successfully represented over 200 individuals and businesses across a variety of practice areas. His practice included assisting small and medium-sized businesses with employment law compliance, resolving wage-and-hour disputes, and providing pro bono estate planning services to low-income clients in Texas and Arkansas. His dedication to his clients is further evidenced by his extensive work with other law firms, offering legal research and drafting services.
Matthew’s legal experience also includes his time as a Law Clerk at Cross, Gunter, Witherspoon & Galchus in Little Rock, Arkansas, where he focused on employment law. He further honed his litigation skills at Holleman & Associates, contributing to wage-and-hour cases and coordinating with clients on complex legal issues.
Matthew graduated summa cum laude with a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where he served as an Associate Editor for the Law Review and was ranked 6th in his class. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from the University of Texas at Arlington, graduating magna cum laude.
